Bush seas

Spread of land majestic,
in rush of rust and gold,
diminishing to distance;
such beauty to behold.

Earth in rippled falling,
beneath a rustled sky,
clouds in crumpled mockery;
soil drinks sun and dries.

Stubbled stretch beginning,
where life demands to be,
and struggles back from death;
the bush as sandy seas.
